5 Days, 4 Nights
5 Days Kilimanjaro hiking via the Marangu route from Moshi or Arusha with the 2022/2023 package. Marangu route also known as the "Coca-Cola" route, is the oldest, most well-mounted route on Kilimanjaro. This is the best route that gives sleeping huts in a dormitory-style settlement rather than camping. There are 60 bunk beds each at Mandara and Kibo Huts and 120 bunk beds at Horombo Hut. Guests are provided with mattresses and pillows, however, sleeping bags are nevertheless required. The huts have communal dining halls and simple washrooms, starting from flushing toilets and running water on the lower huts to long drop toilets and buckets of water at Kibo Hut. Many prefer Marangu because it's far considered to be the easiest route at the mountain, given its slow slope and direct path. However, the fast time frame of the route makes altitude acclimatization pretty difficult. The route approaches Mount Kilimanjaro from the southeast. Marangu is, unfortunately, less scenic than the other routes due to the fact the ascent and descent are alongside the same route. It is also the most crowded route for that reason.
